Shelves were very easy to assembly. No tools needed. Seems to be fairly sturdy although I'm not putting a lot of weight on it. Dimensions were as noted which was key for me as this was put in a very tight spot. Product was as advertised.This is by far the best, well made, high quality shelving I have purchased. I did not have a rubber mallet, which made it a bit more difficult to assemble, but I was still able to put it together.These shelves are good quality, arrived in good condition and were easy to assemble. This company had a lot of variations which helped me find the perfect fit, but the downside of all this was that these were not cheap. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.There were some delivery problems (missing package), but Steve, from Omega, stayed on top of things for me. The unit, priced higher than other similar ones, is well worth the investment! Extremely well made, sturdy, heavy, but easily put together. Attractive in my living room, the 6-shelf unit holds all our board games & puzzles, but would easily hold other extremely heavy things as well. This was the only shelving I could find that would optimize a narrow space, and the shelf adjustability makes it perfect. I'm delighted!!!!!After putting this piece of garbage together three times following the instructions exactly and having it collapse ALL THREE TIMES. it is now in the garbage. I've been robbed of my cash and the delivery price since returning anything anywhere is always a lesson in futility these days. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!
