I have been wanting to build shelves with industrial pipes for quite some time. One of the biggest draw backs has been the cost of supplies at the local hardware stores. So I opted to look on Amazon and was happy to discover these were available:-). I was not disappointed and in fact was quite pleased. I am delighted that I was finally able to build the shelving unit I had been envisioning without breaking the bank. It made my project quite affordable.I'm unable to comment on durability, because I just built this last week. However, I can say that my standing shelves seem to be quite sturdy.I was a bit surprised to find a gel like black coating and at first thought i might have ordered the wrong color (I was wanting gray). But this black coating did come off after washing with dishwashing liquid (suspect there may be a better way). It was a bit messy, so you may want to be prepared to clean with gloves. I might spray paint them down the road, but was anxious to finish my project without any other time consuming steps.I am appreciative of this company offering this very nice alternative to the more pricey product at big retail stores.
